Sevenths became triads (C, D, E, Em), which cuts down the shapes you have to learn. Good for playing along all the way through without stalling on a change.
In this version the sevenths were reduced to triads, and 8 changes too short for the hand to follow were merged. A diminished chord appears as minor — that is a substitution, not an equivalence: it sounds close when you are playing along, but it is not the same chord.
